In a world that often values popularity over conviction, Integrity is revealed when Christ’s followers choose God's voice above every other voice.
The Bible tells us in 1 Kings 22 that Micaiah, the prophet, stood alone before King Ahab, four hundred court prophets, and a nation eager to hear good news. Even before entering the king's presence, a messenger urged him to agree with the other prophets and deliver a favorable message (v13). But Micaiah had already settled the matter in his heart: “As the Lord lives, whatever the Lord says to me, that I will speak” (v14).
Micaiah courageously declared God's judgment on Ahab, exposing the deception of the false prophets (v15–23). For his faithfulness, he was struck by Zedekiah, ridiculed, and imprisoned on meagre rations (v24–27). Yet neither public opinion nor political power could persuade him to compromise the truth. His integrity was anchored not in the approval of people but in unwavering obedience to God.
Jesus Christ, "the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6), was falsely accused, mocked, and condemned, yet He never compromised the Father's truth. As we follow Him, the Holy Spirit gives us the courage to stand with humility, speak the truth in love, and remain faithful regardless of the cost.
Pause and Ponder
Where am I tempted to remain silent rather than speak the truth in love?
Whose approval influences my decisions more - God's or people's?
How can I demonstrate integrity by faithfully standing for God's truth today?
Integrity speaks the truth with courage because it trusts the God who is always true.

Thank You Lord, that Your Word never fails and Your promises are always true. Give me integrity of heart to stand for what is right, even when I stand alone, Amen.
