Audio - Trusting the God Who is Truth

We live in a world where promises are broken, facts are disputed, and trust is often misplaced. How do we know whom to believe?

"Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him." (Proverbs 30:5)

Proverbs 30 points us to a God whose words are completely trustworthy. Every word He speaks is pure - tested, refined, and free from error. Unlike human opinions that shift with time and circumstances, God's Word remains true and reliable. Because God cannot lie, His promises never fail. He is ‘a shield to those who put their trust in Him.’ The God who speaks truth is the God who protects. His Word is not merely information for our minds; it is a refuge for our souls.

Jesus Christ declared, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life" (John 14:6). Jesus is God's living Word made flesh (John 1:14). Every promise of God finds its ‘Yes’ in Him (2 Corinthians 1:20). When we trust Christ, we are not trusting wishful thinking but the eternal, unchanging truth of God. There is no deception, error, or inconsistency in Him. What He has said, He will do. What He has promised, He will fulfill.

Pause and Ponder

  • What voices am I trusting more than God's Word right now?

  • Which promise of God do I need to hold onto in my current situation?

  • How can I encourage someone else to trust God's truth this week?

God's Word has never failed - and it never will.

Truthful Father, thank You that every word You speak is pure and trustworthy. Help me to build my life upon Your truth rather than my feelings, fears, or the opinions of others. Amen.
